About the Owner/Provider
I am the oldest of 5 children. The five of us were spread out enough that I was my youngest sister’s godmother. My mom and dad divorced when I was little, and so I have a HUGE extended family that is close. My son, Eli, was born in 2000, and my daughter, Aubree, was born in 2004. Eli lives on his own a few blocks away and works for the Village of Kimberly on the Street Department. Aubree attends UW-Stevens Point. We all help with Aubree’s non-profit organization, Aubree’s Blankets for Veterans. My husband is also from Kimberly. He is the baby of 8 children. We moved into my husband’s childhood home in April 2020.
I attended UW-Oshkosh for 2 ½ years for Physical Education, however I received an Associates degree from FVTC in Early Childhood. In 2025 I completed my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from UW-Whitewater. I have experience as a group child care center floater, cook, teacher, curriculum coordinator, and director. I have been a presenter of workshops across the state and out of state for early childhood professionals on leadership, music & movement, make & takes, gifts for parents, using your creativity, gardening, food allergies in the classroom, puppets, and making homemade classroom items. I am a member of local, state, and national early childhood associations. I have also served on the local and state boards.
I love to sew! I make clothes, costumes and a lot of items sold at various other craft sales. I do this along with my mom, who taught me how to sew when I was 10. In the past I was Kimberly’s first woman Fire Fighter and was a religion education teacher. We love to camp. We do camp annually on Madeline Island with a bunch of Girl Scouts that have been influential in my life. Another important thing in my life is Mackinac Island. My husband and I honeymooned there in 1998 in a small B&B called Bogan Lane Inn. We have gone back and visited every year since. We named our children for this place I dream of retiring to (which will never happen) Eli Bogan and Aubree Lane. We also have named our cats Mac & Nac, and our youngest one, Mich (Michigan). Our daughter worked on a Mackinac Island ferry during two summers.
All of the children that have attended Impressions Family Child Care since opening in 1998, are still near and dear to my heart. All 117 of them!
